Are able to register on electoral lists : those who are 20 years old have been resident in the council area for at least 6 months; have been carrying out an economic activity for at least five consecutive years, have Cameroonian  nationality or be a naturalized Cameroonian.
voter registration takes place each year from January 01 to December 31. In an electoral year, registration is suspended as soon as voters are convened to the polls,
but resumes on the day following the poll.

Immediately after the vote counting in a polling station, the results of that polling station are published.
After the poll, the votes have to be counted, usually on the spot, and the results obtained at each polling station made known.
Depending on the election, final results are compiled and officially announced at local or at national levels by authorities empowered to do so by the law.
 
 
NEO makes sure that those who vote in a polling station are registered in that polling station and are authorized to vote in that station.
Before the poll itself, the number of polling stations and their various locations must be determined and made known to the public. Voting materials such as ballot boxes, ballot papers, screens etc… must be produced and made available in each polling station.
